Adding some Zing to the party has taken on a new meaning. A small UK based business start-up in 2014 called World of Zing has developed a very exciting innovative range of Food and Drink that is growing in popularity.
They produce: Craft Cocktails, Herbs, Artisan Condiments, Spices and Seasonings, which are targeted at consumers and have recently developed a number of products targeted at the Retail sector.
So far, a lot of the publicity around World of Zing has been around their Craft Cocktail stories. For example, they developed a “winter themed” bottled cocktail for Jamie’s Italian restaurants called ‘Winter Spritz’ and this has attracted a lot of positive publicity (Source: The Spirits Business). The idea was to produce an “exciting Spritz type drink”. The drink comprises 50ml of Winter Spritz combined with Prosecco and Soda. This idea of the pre-made cocktails is being well received because it saves time and money and customers love it.
Another example of their success is the launch of new cocktails in tandem with the Bloomsbury Hotel. Guests at the Hotel can have a “Steel Aged Manhattan” or a “Nori Margarita”. The cocktails are still hand-made but with a much simpler way of achieving a great result. Some of the cocktails are also available in the hotel’s 150 mini-bars (Source: The Spirits Business)

At present World of Zing is about to complete a £150,000 fund raising on Crowdcube which has been over-subscribed already with over £186,00 already pledged. This will mean a valuation after the fund raising of near £1million which is an amazing achievement in just three years.
